What is CSRA Walk for Water?

CSRA Walk for Water is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping address the global water crisis. Through awareness, education, and strategic partnerships, we work to help bring access to clean, safe water to people and communities facing water insecurity around the world.
The Walk for Water raises awareness of the 2.2 billion people worldwide who lack access to safely managed drinking water. Participants walk a route that symbolizes the daily journey millions of people take to collect water for themselves and their families.

When and where will the Walk for Water–CSRA take place?

We’ll gather at Evans Towne Center Park on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Festivities begin at 9:00 a.m., with the Walk kicking off at 10:00 a.m.
By registering in advance, you’ll have plenty of time to pick up your Walk T-shirt, connect with fellow participants, and visit our partners’ booths before the Walk begins.

When and how can I register for the Walk?

You can register online now by clicking here to be taken to the registration page.
You can also register at the event, but your preferred T-shirt size may not be available. Register by October 31 to ensure you receive the size you want!

How much does it cost to participate?

• Adults (18 and older): $25
• Youth (ages 5–17): $10
• Children (4 and under): FREE

Should I register my child?

Yes, please! Be sure to add your child’s registration by selecting the child registration option when completing your adult registration.
All registered participants will receive a Walk for Water T-shirt. Please note that the smallest T-shirt size available is Youth Large.

Do I need to join a team to participate in the Walk for Water?

Not at all! You can register for the Walk for Water as an individual. No team is required—just sign up and join us for a great day!

Can I create a team for the Walk?

Absolutely! When you register for the Walk, you’ll have the option to start a team, join an existing team, or register as an individual.
Gather your friends, family, coworkers, or neighbors and make it a team!

Can I join a team after I’ve already registered?

Absolutely! You can join a team even after you’ve completed your registration. So, if you decide to team up with friends, family, or coworkers later, no problem!

I’ve registered. Can I pick up my Walk T-shirt early?

Yes! We’re working on a convenient early T-shirt pickup location for Friday, November 6, and we’ll share the details as soon as they are finalized.

I can’t participate in the Walk. Can I still help financially?

Absolutely! If you’re unable to join us for the Walk for Water but would still like to make a difference, you can support CSRA Walk for Water’s efforts to bring safe water to communities around the world with a financial contribution.

What is your refund policy?

Because registration fees and contributions support the Walk for Water and are considered donations, we’re unable to offer refunds.

When I arrive, where should I park?

Free parking is available in several designated lots and street spaces surrounding Evans Towne Center Park.
Parking Areas & Locations

• Stage & Dog Park Lot: Located near the walking track and dog park.
• Playground Parking Lot: Accessible from Ronald Reagan Drive.
• Library Parking: Additional spaces are available near the Evans Branch Library.
• Parking Deck: A nearby parking deck is available near the Columbia County Performing Arts Center and The Plaza.

What should I do when I arrive at the Walk for Water on November 7?

When you arrive, head to the main stage to pick up your T-shirt beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Then, enjoy the pre-Walk festivities and fun activities for the whole family, including our Kids Zone, before the Walk begins at 10:00 a.m.!

Where should I go if I want to register on the day of the Walk?

Same-day registration will be available at the registration tent near the main stage beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Are dogs allowed at Evans Towne Center Park?

Yes! Bring your four-legged family members along for the Walk for Water!
Dogs are welcome throughout Evans Towne Center Park, but they must remain on a leash outside the designated dog park.
The park’s fully fenced, off-leash dog park is a great spot for pups to stretch their legs and have some fun before or after the Walk. It features separate play areas for large and small dogs, agility equipment, water stations, and seating areas for their humans.
For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, please keep your dog leashed while participating in the Walk and throughout the event area.

What can I expect on Walk Day?

Participants will carry an empty two-gallon bucket for approximately 1.5 miles. At the halfway point, you’ll fill your bucket with water and then walk approximately 1.5 miles back, experiencing, in a small way, the journey millions of people face every day to collect water for themselves and their families.
Wear your Walk for Water T-shirt, comfortable shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing—and come ready to have fun and make a difference!

What is the walking route for the event?

The Walk takes place on Evans Towne Center Park’s paved, accessible walking track, with shorter-distance options available for those who prefer them.
Along the route, you’ll find rest and water stations, as well as signs sharing information about the global water crisis and the impact that access to safe water can have on individuals and communities.
At the halfway point, participants will be directed to a water source to fill their buckets before completing the remainder of the Walk.

What if I arrive after the event begins?

No problem! If you arrive after the Walk begins, simply check in at the main stage. A volunteer will provide the materials and information you need to join the Walk.
