About the CSRA Walk for Water
The CSRA Walk for Water is an annual community event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for global clean water initiatives. Participants take part in a symbolic walk that reflects the daily reality faced by millions of people who must travel miles each day to collect water, often from unsafe sources. This responsibility disproportionately falls on women and children, limiting access to education, employment, and opportunity.
By shedding light on these challenges, the event fosters compassion and inspires collective action toward sustainable solutions. Since its inception, the CSRA Walk for Water has united thousands of participants and raised more than $250,000 in support of clean water projects around the world.
Despite progress, water related illnesses remain a critical global issue. Each year, an estimated 1.4 million people die from preventable diseases linked to unsafe water, inadequate sanitation, and poor hygiene. Through participation and support, the Walk for Water plays a meaningful role in expanding access to safe, reliable water for communities in need.
